Hair help please?????

I have average hair, not soft but not too dry. It is somehow curly, not in a nice way but kind of messy.. i wash it using dove and i use a garnier conditioner. However its getting messed up because of the current weather, and i dont want to straighten it because its startin to fall off more n more.. what can i use to stop my hair from falling? what is a good product/oil to use before washing your hair? what should i do after washing it- before and after its dry? can you suggest any known as good hair products (shampoo, conditioner, oil, spray,etc.)?
