?What exactly does "active in past 24 hours" mean on yahoo Personals?

I have watched my yahoo personal site for the past 3 days and have seen that my boyfriend has been "active in the past 24 hours!" Does this mean that he is actually chatting, looking, or is he being contacted. I don't want to confront him without knowing for sure what it means.
