Im a terrible gift giver ><?

so christmas is coming around again! (so fast, eh?) anyways, theres a secret santa and i ended up getting a friend of mine that i know pretty well, even though i only met her 2 years ago. i have no clue what to get her. we're in highschool btw so i dont have tons of cash. i wanted to get her something personal, not ur typical perfume, bath and body works shower gels, bath salts stuff that nobody ever ends up using. i dont even want to get gift cards cause i really see no purpose, i mean, u mite as well hand them money straight cause they'll have more freedom with it instead of being restricted to a store. i have one or two ideas which are ok but if u guys could please suggest some inexpensive options. shes not into any sports. she likes to read, but her book choice is very very particular. she doesnt wear earrings or any other jewelry really. ooo and i can bake really well, but i wanted to give her a gift other than a baked item. please help and have a wonderful christmas (or hanukkah or kwanza)! =]
