Need help with relationship?

okk so i've been dating my bf for 8 months now and i always knew his facebook pword but he never knew i checked it and when i began checking it i found out he said something disrespectful about me and he apologized for it and cried his eyes out and told me how i was important to him so i took him back. so at the beginning he let me check his facebook but he didnt like at all he would ask me do you want me to delete it? if its such an issue to you? and i'd say no... and then he changed his pword. and im afraid to ask for it again. should i just not bring it up or should i confront him for changing it after saying i can check it.
