Does anyone else feel that driving is one of the funnest things to do legally!?

ok so it's my birthday and I got my permit today. so my dad took me out to drive in some empty parking lots. I started off a little jerky with the accelerator and brake because it's an automatic, but I ended up doing really well. the fastest I got up to was 35 which felt fast for a first time driver. he's taking me driving again tomorrow to try some street driving. I think I'll do fine, but he's gonna teach me to drive stick soon, because that's the kind of car I want to have. so what I was wondering is how much harder is it to drive a manual instead of an automatic? also does anyone else find driving extremely fun?
