Democracy or Hypocrisy?

Why is it that Politicians use Celebrities, or other famous individuals, to help them campaign? Shouldn't their Idea's be what determines how we vote? And why is it that the person who gets the most money raised becomes the most likely person to win the Presidency? Shouldn't the Politicians be trying to gain support from the people and not "Big Business", after all it is our vote that matters... Perhaps the government doesn't see our Economic problems? So instead of helping the individual they would rather help the big cooperations? The way i see it, the middle cl is disappearing, the Senior Citizens will out number the working cl, 2 to 1, with in the next 10-15 years and the world is entering a state where global warming and the polar shift are causing us to think that everyone will get cancer by doing the simplest things!!! Shouldn't our Candidates worry more about these pressing issues rather than whether or not they are ociated with the Bush party, or money???
