Are Dogs allowed in Post Offices?

I take my dog into the post office, CVS Pharmacy, state and county court offices; EVERYWHERE except where they serve food. I got hled by a JERKY PO employee today saying no dogs in Gov't buildings. REALLY: I take them EVERYWHERE in NW Florida.
